Dr. Blake Dr Jonathan Blake is proud to serve the community in which he was raised. As a 3rd generation native of the Dade City area, Dr. Blake graduated from Pasco High School in 1990. After marrying his high school sweetheart Kimberly Hamilton in 1995, Dr Blake began graduate studies in Veterinary Pathology at the University of Florida, while Kimberly worked professionally as an elementary school teacher. Upon obtaining a Master of Science Degree in 1997, and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2001, Dr Blake and Kimberly moved back to Dade City where they re-established ties within the community. Following six years of small animal practice as an Associate Veterinarian at San Antonio Animal Hospital, Dr Blake purchased Town and Country Animal Clinic from retiring veterinarian Dr William R Moore. Its central location, modest size and 35 year history were ideally suited for Dr Blake’s vision of a traditional-style neighborhood veterinary practice. Re-opened under the new name of Blake Veterinary Hospital in 2007, the practice grew remarkably while maintaining its character and primary focus as a small, family veterinary practice. Dr Blake continues to live in the Dade City area with Kimberly and their two sons Isaac and Elijah. They spend time together at home listening to music, cooking, gardening and playing outdoors with their two dogs Annie and Louie, and their many chickens, cows and horses.

Dr. Patterson Dr. Patterson grew up in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, a small town near Kansas City. His interest in animal health was sparked while spending time with his grandfather who raised cattle and he was further inspired by the local veterinarians who were well regarded and respected by the local community. After graduating from Pleasant Hill High School in 2004, Dr. Patterson received his undergraduate training at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri and majored in Biology. Once he had completed the required courses, he obtained early acceptance at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine after his junior year of college. After four years of classroom, laboratory, and clinical training, he completed the program in January 2011. He wanted to expand his horizons and start his new life outside of Missouri, and joined Blake Veterinary Hospital in February 2011. Dr. Patterson’s professional interests include client education, surgery, and emergency/critical care medicine. He also enjoys doing various activities with his wife Melissa, daughter Aliceyn (4), and son Benson (1), such as going to theme parks, the beach, or the zoo.
